“Texas Sized Trouble is a cinematic indie-folk journey that follows a lone traveler across deserts, mountains, caves, and open water in search of a legendary treasure said to restore what time has taken. Inspired by the atmospheric storytelling of Gregory Alan Isakov, the warmth of 70s folk and Americana, and the expansive production of artists like Bon Iver and Ben Howard, the EP blends earthy instrumentation with dreamy textures to tell a story that's as much about the human condition as it is about the adventure itself.
Across six interconnected songs, Texas Sized Trouble explores our tendency to search for fulfillment in distant places while quietly confronting grief, self-sabotage, purpose, and mortality along the way. Tracks like "Old Geezer" reflect on the fear of growing older and wishing for youth again, while "Sing Yourself a Lullaby" examines the ways we become our own greatest obstacle. "Sailor" drifts through loneliness and uncertainty, "Double Shot Espresso on a Sunday" captures the hope of new beginnings, and the journey ultimately asks whether the treasure we spend our lives chasing was ever something that could be found at all.
